The Solar controller is made for the control of solar thermal systems consisting of evacuated tube collectors and a solar hot water storage tank. It controls the switching on and off of the solar pump as a function of the collector and storage temperature.

At temperatures below 10 & deg;C with this operation mode, the solar pump is periodically operated in order to prevent freezing of the collector.

If the collector temperature continues to drop, then the solar pump is permanently engaged. In addition, there exists the possibility of controlling reheating of the solar storage tank by a storage charge pump or a heat exchanger.

The  solar station is a pre-assembled and completely sealed unit for use in solar thermal systems. The solar station has to be installed in the return flow line (cold side) of the solar circuit only. The unit includes all necessary armatures and safety devices for connecting a solar collector field to a solar hot water storage tank.
